ABOUT US
A MOVEMENT IN STYLE
We are The LibR8ed.
We create stylish, casualised contemporary fashion taking inspirational notes from the lighter end of dark fashion without the extreme “avant garde” pieces.
Our brand name; The LibR8ed, comes from that “liberating feeling” of taking control of your own style and destiny.
The LibR8ed is a “Movement in Style”. Our aim is to deliver an elevated level of fashion and style without compromising your sense of comfort. Our styling is effortlessly relaxed fit, unstructured and somewhat dishevelled. Our footwear is soft and flexible, and our luggage is totally unconstructed, effortlessly draping across the body.
We take pride in our commitment to craftsmanship. As we create, we use processes that allow each piece some level of individuality through colour, wash, grain or finish, embracing the character of the natural materials we use.
We design our pieces here in Australia, and produce in the Tuscany region of Italy.
Our ranges are made in extremely small production runs further elevating the level of exclusivity and individuality. Enjoy the uniqueness of The LibR8ed.
THE CHAPTER UNFOLDS
At the LibR8ed, we talk less about seasons, and more about “Chapters”. Every “chapter” will have its staple of “year-round” season-neutral core basics including T-shirts, pants, knitwear and various weighted jackets and accessories, allowing the signature layering of our pieces.

ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our luggage is sourced from the Tuscany region in Italy.
We create our leather goods using a process called “dip dye”. This requires a great deal of hand work and skill to deliver the product of exceptional quality and style. The bag is initially made from raw untreated calf leather, sewn together with the lining, zippers, trims, etc in place. We then “dip” or submerge the bag into a tub of hot dye. The heat allows the colour to penetrate the materials, setting colour fast into the leathers and fabrics. A technical challenge during this dying process is that each bag physically shrinks in overall size including linings etc, which makes the pattern design and cutting far more intricate than usual. This process needs to be regulated carefully to ensure the bag is not left too long in the hot liquid.
The bags are then placed into a large industrial washing machine which immediately stops the shrinking process, and further assists with colour fastening. The bags are then tumble dried, which further softens the already supple calf leather, delivering the unconstructed, unstructured and almost dishevelled character.
Branding is subtle and understated, using our “8” device as the only external branding across our range.
